Photography Competition
Closing Date: 21st February 2012
Winning entries will be displayed at the Spring Show.
There will be prizes and certificates for each winning category

Categories:
1. Gardens (all types including allotment gardens).
Participants must state where the pictures were taken.
2. Plant Portraits (flowers, trees, vegetables, fruit)
3. Wildlife in the garden
4. People in the garden
Must have the permission of any person in the picture
5. Young garden photographer (under 16)
Any of the above categories
Photography Competition Regulations
1) The competition is open to members and non-
2) Entries should be in the specified print format only:
Minimum print size = 6” x 4” (15cm x 10cm)
Maximum Print Size = A4
3) Entry is £2 per entry for members and £3 per entry for non-
cash or cheque. Cheques should be made out to The Royal Caledonian
Horticultural Society
4) Entrants should write their name clearly on the back of each photographic entry.
In addition a completed Entry Form must be enclosed with each entry
5) Entries can either be passed to Liz Cole (Fundraising Team photography
competition lead) or Pam Whittle (RCHS President) at one of the Tuesday
evening lectures or submitted by post to:

6) The Society cannot accept responsibility for entries which are damaged, or lost in
the post.
7) All entries must be received by 21st February.
8) There is no restriction on the number of entries which may be entered providing
the appropriate entry fee is provided for each entry.
9) Winning entries will be displayed at the RCHS Spring Show held in the Fletcher
Building, Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh, on 24th & 25th March 2012.
10) The Society reserves the right to use winning entry images for the production of
future RCHS greetings cards etc. If this option is progressed the Society would
. require a digital image from winning entrants
. ensure that photographers were appropriately credited on printed cards
11) Prizes and certificates will be awarded to the winning entrants of each category
